Telemedicine, any day 10am to 8pm

Maine telemedicine certification, $43.99

Get certified by a Relief Clinic provider through your phone or computer. Same Day Approval, with electronic copies uploaded the same day.

Have your Maine ID in hand before you text

The one thing that stops a telemedicine certification is the ID. Maine law requires that a medical provider physically see the patient's Maine driver's license or state ID card before approval, and the clinic's own form says it plainly: if there is no proof, certification will not be granted. So the first question on the Telemedicine Certification Form is whether you have a Maine driver's license or state ID.

Everything else is lighter than people expect. Medical records are not required in the State of Maine. What you bring is your ID and the reason you are asking: chronic pain, anxiety, depression, insomnia, PTSD and the rest of the Maine qualifying list all appear on the clinic's own checklist, and the free consultation is there if you are not sure yours counts.

The $43.99 fee is the whole telemedicine price on the clinic's pricing page. The clinic takes cash and all major credit cards, and Relief Clinic LLC states that it will not share your information with anyone and follows HIPAA.

How the video visit runs, from the first text

It starts with a text to (207) 241-2815. You fill out the Telemedicine Certification Form with your full name, your phone number, whether you give permission to be texted, your Maine ID answer, and which dispensary sent you. Before you submit, you read and agree to a short document titled Permission for Telemedicine Visits with Relief Clinic LLC. You are not required to sign it, and you agree to it on the certification page.

Visits run seven days a week, 10:00am - 8:00pm. The process runs best on an iOS or Android phone, though computers and tablets work as well. Telemedicine lets you talk to a provider from home or wherever you choose, which suits people who cannot easily get to a clinic because of health or anxiety.

On privacy, the consent form is direct. We will not record visits with your provider. If other people are close to you they may overhear, so find a private room, and if you use the internet for the visit, use a network that is private and secure. You can stop telemedicine at any time, even in the middle of a visit, and move to an office visit in Auburn instead.

After the call: same-day paperwork and any dispensary you like

Same Day Approval is the aim, and Electronic Copies Uploaded Same Day is the clinic's own promise on the telemedicine price. Patients describe it in minutes. One reviewer had an updated card texted back 21 minutes after texting for a renewal, another had a digital copy within 5 minutes of submitting a request, and a third was emailed a temporary card in about 3 seconds flat.

Where you go next is up to you. Relief Clinic and its providers have no financial interest in the establishment that sends you to, and you can go to any dispensary of your choice.

When it is time to renew, the same route works: text before your card runs out, and read how recertification works on its own page. If you would rather sit across from a provider, the in-person visit at 216 Center Street is $39.99.
